In the late 1940's, Alaska's steam steam trains were gradually replaced by new deisel-electric locomotives.  In this dramatic tale, one powerful locomotive, Ol' 556, comes back to life to save the day.  Ol' 556 celebrates the railroad's earlier days when courageous men and powerful steam engines battled the elements to keep the line open through the Last Frontier.  ALL ABOARD for a ride on the Ol' 556!
